Story 5 :Of students and teachers
Free Hair cut - no thank you
Student: What! Why! Why do you cut my hair??? My! Hair! Oh, no! My lovely hair.
Teacher: Your hair is too long. So, you need a hair cut. A free hair cut. Keep it short, dear.
Student: NO! It’s not long. It’s a fashion. Don’t you like it. If you don’t, that’s your problem.
Teacher: What fashion? This is a school. Not Kluang Shopping Mall. No need to show off. Don’t tell me about fashion.
Student: But my hair is short. You cut it and make it shorter. It's very ugly. I look like a crazy boy. It’s your doing.
Teacher: Your hair is untidy. Keep it tidy.
Student: No, you are wrong. Today, young people's hair is like that. My father’s hair is neat and tidy. But he is 51 years old. I’m 15. So, my hairstyle is different and my hair is not untidy.
Teacher: This is your view. You are a student. There are rules and regulations in our school. Follow the rules. “No play-play”.
Student: I don’t “play-play”, Sir. I spent a lot of money to have such a modern hairstyle. Now, you destroy my hairstyle. You must pay me. You damage my self-image. I’m so embarrassed now. No girls want to talk to me. They laugh at me, instead. I’m so pitiful and shameful.
Teacher: Oh, I see. Well, keep your hair neat and tidy.
